Yup, that picture of the Wilton also has a CB360 in it. It was in the machine shop when it closed down & another friend of mine bought that. The ZRX is mine, I only have Kaw's.
Not too shabby for 94,000 miles..
Here's some others I used to have. '75 Z1-B, '76 KZ900 & '78 KZ1000:
£180 is still a great deal for the MAC box, I think they were over $1000 new 20 years ago. Mine is an MB506, they have the model stamped on the back. Sold from '91 t0 '97

Decided to swing by the local swapmeet on Sunday. Hadn't been there for a couple of months or so...
Score one:
4 1/2in Rock Island 574 bench vise.. & don't ask, I've lost count... it's *about 30*
I also found some hammers, all 4 are Proto....
As found:
after a clean up...
By way of experimentation, I decided to try cleaning the two hammer handles that were covered in paint by blasting them with plastic beads. Excellent results as seen in the next pic.
& right now they are getting multiple applications of BLO. For some reason I ignored the 4th hammer at first, but that's now getting the BLO treatment :) 4th 'mer is really dark, possible Walnut handle...
Hammer heads were glassbeaded & then wirewheeled.

Picked up 2 anvils at the weekend... First one is a piece of Chinese RR track & weighs 13lb...
Before:
After:
If you're wondering how it got that clean.... small stainless wire brush & this stuff:
The other has no markings, is obviously cast, but has a piece of hardened steel attached to the top...
Before:
After a brief scrub:
& after paint:
The horns on both vises were buzzed with a 3M scotchbrite roloc disc on an angle grinder.

Here we are after a quick clean with a light roloc disk (only over the etchings)
8" Steel chisel, marked 'NER' (North Eastern Railway) and '1665' (probably its original locomotive number)

IF the number is correct, this was used initially on a D20 class locomotive http://www.lner.info/locos/D/d20.shtml
It was most likely acquired from the Manors Goods Yard (Newcastle-uopn-Tyne) in the early 1950's, but would date from 1923 at the very latest...

Nice JT :)
I've officially stopped keeping track of how many vises I have... I'll just go with "at least 30" for now

The question is, do you use them or do you have one of those annoyingly pristine workshops?....

Yup, but also for general metal shaping so they're handy for beating on bent aircraft & fabricating new parts etc :)
