This morning 04:30 I was in the middle of sending and email out when the computer froze, I tried to reset it and lost balance (I'd been up for near on 48 hours). Getting up and trying again, I was zap by electricity from the computer which shorted out the electrics in the house! Fortunately we have a circut breaker in our house (Which is now the law here in Australia), so not much damage to either the house or me. My index finger on my right hand is still sore and the nerves are still racing but I'm still alive. Georgii the email was for you brother, so I'll get one back to you asap! Live hard, play hard, die happy!

RE: The Big ZAP! Woah! How did that happen? I want to know so I can stop my machine doing the same to me ('cos it will if I give the shambolic bugger half a chance). Obviously it's good to hear that you weren't deep-fried. Stay lucky, mate! :-)

RE: The Big ZAP! Well my friend, (God love her) was having troubles with her computer over heating, so she had removed both the casing and the cover to the Power Supply to stop the over heating. I was in the middle of an email when the ##### froze, so I bent down to switch it off, but because I was so tired (Been up for 48hours working on some stuff for Flaps), I lost balance and fell off the chair. Getting up I put my hand on the frame of the computer and it zapped me and shorted out the house. Now I have to buy a new mother board to fix the problems and hopefully it will work (I bought a new power supply today and that didn't help! Live hard, play hard, die happy!

RE: The Big ZAP! Glad you're okay; sounds like a lucky escape. I'm turning mine off by poking the power button with a stick from now on. :-)

RE: The Big ZAP! Chill.... This is the General Discussion board. Surely we can talk absolute crap here, provided it doesn't breach the regulations (and I don't think there's a clause in the user agreement to the effect of "only post stuff deemed generally interesting in the view of the forum community." Maybe there should be, but there isn't). If a thread bores the pants off everybody, it vanishes off the bottom of the board main page. As will this thread. Problem solved.

RE: The Big ZAP! Adonis: why don't you find something better to do than down rate everyone. You seem quick to jump up and say your piece, but as for anyone else having a go, no that is not right! As was hinted at, if you don't like something that is said, ignore it and it will go away! I'm not going to tell you to grow up, cause I'm not your mother! I will say that you have no right to judge what we put here in the GENERAL DISCUSSION BOARD and as such should leave well enough alone! As for everyone else, I've got partial capabilities back now, (I'm using an old Compaq P575 so I can't do graphics :( ) But will have a fully running computer by the end of next week (Money providing)! Live hard, play hard, die happy!
