Despicable Me 2, there is a flat bit in the middle 20 mins when the "plot" drags, but the visual jokes from the Minions, as per, are hysterical. The mickey take of boy bands is priceless.....

Stalagluft 17 - Billy Wilder. A young Peter Graves hoodwinking all but Bill Holden and Preminger being, well Preminger!

The Heat with Bullock and McCarthy

I am afraid that McCarthy is going to end up like many recent over-weight actors, dead at an early age but damn she is good.

The Exorcist

Pretty scary but can't face me into fearing me. But still creeped me watching it again and again.

I still enjoy some luaghters in the movie like the crucifix scene :)

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

Meh. I don't care if it IS a classic, I thought it was "meh" at best.

Legend of the Guardians

Utter drivel. Looks nice, but it's still utter drivel.

Flying Tigers

John Wayne plays a squadron commander in China dealing with a cocky, over-confident pilot in his outfit, while attempting to beat the Japanese at the same time. Pure wartime fodder, of course, but still very watchable, especially for its Oscar-nominated special effects.

Jack Hawkins in The Cruel Sea.
Possibly the finest Sea war film ever made. Interestingly doesn't age as there are no special effects. All action is real.

Great films rarely seem to appear in this thread, but this certainly one of them!:)

What? I watch plenty of great movies (dependent, of course, on what your definition of "great" is), but I like watching all sorts, too.

That's true Daz - greatness is a subjective judgement although there are probably 100 films which are generally accepted fall into the category. It's just an impression that with some exceptions that general category is not widely represented here.
Just out of interest what are your top five?:)

My top five?

1) Jaws
2) Battle of Britain
3) Raiders of the Lost Ark
4) Die Hard
5) War Horse

(Note that three of those are Spielberg efforts!)

The World's End

Simon Pegg and Nick Frost attempt to finish an epic pub crawl which they started on their last day of school, (spoiler deleted)

Not bad, but not as brilliant as their previous efforts, I felt. Still good, though.

Jaws III

Giant rubber shark mayhem. If you like that sort of thing! :D

I saw World's End last week. As good as Shaun, better than Fuzz in my opinion.

It had me laughing helplessly, several times.

Batman Returns

Hadn't seen this in at least a decade - turns out to be not as good as the original, despite Michelle Pfeiffer's turn as Catwoman. Still decent, though.
