Having recently had my eyes tested, it would appear that my right eye has a Cataract, and surgery is needed to remove same. Has any Forumite had this Op, and if so, what does it involve. Once done, did the affected sight in the eye improve ones vision? Answers in LARGE FONTS please.:D Jim. Lincoln .7

I had an eye test just before Christmas, and was told I had the first signs of cataracts. It seems I needn't worry about them for a few years though. Just one of those things that so many get as they get older. Speaking to people who have had the op, it only takes a few minutes.

Jim, As far as I know they work fine.
Thanks for the time and trouble to give me an idea as to what to expect Richard. As for the 2nd comment, as Moggs stated, I did like that. Jim Lincoln .7

I didn't realse Alan, that one would still have to wear glasses after the Op. At least for the time being, I wll have to keep to the speed limits, until my distance vision improves.:D Jim. Lincoln .7

Jim I've had both eyes done ( and I"m a bit younger than you ) the actual procedure takes about 15_20 minutes, you don't feel a thing because they deaden the eye with a swab. You have to spend a month putting drops in your eye afterwards but it'll be worth because your distance vision will be brilliant . You will need specs for reading but it's a small price to pay. The worst bit is hanging around waiting.

Paul, Thinking about what you said, I recon that there is hardly anything else to go wrong. I think I need parts like ROBO (EX) COP, to bring me up to scratch....:D Jim. Lincoln .7
