-Worth gowing, if only to see the Swedish historics.
Not sure on up to date status, but Boscombe had three Andovers on charge recently, and have a feeling that the 'Open Skies' C.1 is sometimes used of the Falcons para drops

-Looking at a recent thread any chance a Me 109 might make an appearence??
By: 1st July 2010 at 07:20 Permalink - Edited 1st January 1970 at 01:00
-The organisers have a track record of securing some very different aircraft or acts, so a 109 could quite well be on the cards, especially as it's a BoB anniversary year.

Ah, wondered if it was now retired.
Are XS606 and XS646 still flying?
Seems unusual in sending the Raspberry Ripple examples, I wonder if the show organisers have shown good foresight here by asking for an Andover in its 50th anniversary?

-An update:-
The Dutch B25 is currently waiting on a C of A and will not coming to Jersey this year, which will be the first time for many years.
However the organisers have managed to secure funding for Dr Spock, which goes a little way to make up for the non appearance of the Netherlanders.
Sadly it now looks like the Rafale will not now be appearing due to operational commitments.
The organisers are still working on the "Rocket Man", so any Elton John fans should be looking to book their tickets soon :)

-Jersey Showtime 2010
The latest information on the 2010 Jersey International Air Display.
RAFAT Red Arrows Bae Hawks x 10, first year with a female in the team flying as number 3.
RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight - Spitfire, Hurricane and yes the Lancaster is back, missing from the line up for a number of years.
RAF Falcons Parachute Display Team, this could be there last year for the Falcons as there is talk of them being disbanded. The Team needs an aircraft to drop from as this year there are no helicopters to jump from, last year they went up in an RAF PUMA but the wind was to strong to drop, lets hope the wind is kind as well as getting an aircraft to drop from.
As some one quoted the Falcons have droped out of the Andover before, from what I understand the Andover that is due to come to Jersey is in passenger congiaration XS606.
RAF Hawk Solo Display in new 2010 colour scheme, possible two aircraft one as a spare
RAF Tucano advanced trainer Solo Display in a new camouflaged scheme, possible two aircraft one as a spare
RAF Tutor basic trainer display last year there was only one Tutor so possible no back up again for 2010.
RAF Andover from Boscombe Down, last year of military operation? possible
XS606.
RAF Search And Rescue Sea King, role demo with the Belgian Air Force Sea King
RAF Harrier as a static exhibit, could be a composite aircraft
Vulcan to the skies Avro Vulan XH558/G-VLCN in the Vulcan 50th birthday year, unfortunately she will not be landing as she comes under CAA rules and the Jersey runway is a little short. She has landed in Jersey only when she was in the Air Force.
French Air Force Patrouille de France formation aerobatic team x 9 Alpha Jets with a female as number one for 2010
French Air Force Transall support aircraft for the Patrouille
Yves Rossy better known as Jet Pack Man, providing a suitable aircraft can be found to jump from.
Belgian Air Force F16 Based at RNAS Yeovilton as the team is unable to land at Jersey due to the length of the runway.
Belgian Air Force SAR Sea King, Role demo with the RAF Sea King?.
Belgian Air Force "Hardship Red" 4 x Siai-Marchetti SF-260
Scandinavian Historic Flight A26B Invader N167B
Scandinavian Historic Flight P-51 Mustang N167F
Air Unique Antonov An2. I understand they will be bring a differant aircraft this year to LY-BIG we will have to wait and see on the day.
OV-10 Bronco F-AZKM.
Morane-Saulnier MS-760 (Paris) F-AZLT
Swedish Air Force Saab J-32 Lansen x 2 might only be one aircraft they have three aircraft to chose from.
Swedish Historic Flight Saab J-29 Tunnan
Swedish Historic Flight Saab Sk-60 (Saab 105)
Unfortunately the Rafales have been pulled along with one or two others, due to operational reasons and servicabilty.
Air Atlantique Classic Flight will have a Rapide down in Jersey doing pleasure flights during display week.
The Dutch Dakota Association are hoping to come with one of there Dakotas.
PH-PBA or PH-DDZ, the DDA are hoping to make Jersey an outing as well as seeing the show, if that is the case the aircraft could be PH-DDZ as she is passenger configeration. Back in 1999 the group came down with there DC4 which perfomed in the air show that year.
I understand there will be a crew ferry aircraft for the Belgian Air Force to bring the pilots and ground crew down to Jersey before and after there display.
Hope this is of interest to a number of you, as per any display there might be drop outs and changes before the day, we can only wait and see and turn up on the day for blues skies and a good show.:)
Some of the display aircraft depart to Guernsey in the morning as they have there show before Jersey.:)

-Worth gowing, if only to see the Swedish historics.
Yes those Saab jets would be worth the entrance fee alone.
Just a couple of points though. Has'nt the RAF solo Hawk display been grounded.. following 'an incident'.
Also seeing as the SHF Invader and P-51 are currently up for sale, is it likely that they will display here? They did'nt after all make it to Legends!
By: 15th August 2010 at 20:20 Permalink - Edited 1st January 1970 at 01:00
-There is no entrance fee as it is a free airshow! :)
The solo Hawk display is currently grounded but has been replaced in this show by the Hawk role demo.
The SHF will be attending the show as usual, it looks like the small problems that had prevented them attending Legends have now been resolved!
The Jet Man has also secured his drop plane in the form of a Turbo Porter.

-Chris Vogelsang from germany will also be appearing with his Yak 3.
The organiser is also waiting to hear from four other possible participants.

-Interesting display coming up down on the Island.
Ollie
You seem to have your finger on the pulse?
Last year a Yak White 100 was due to come but went tech and was unable to make it.
Is it the Yak White 100 trying again for 2010?
Be interesting to find out what else the Display team have up there sleeve.
Just need to get the good weather.:)

-'White 100' is Chris Vogelgesang's Yak 3. :)

Tucano may also not be on the cards after suffering a mishap at a recent display and a Belgian Seaking will also be on display.
All in all this year's display has the making of something very special.

-All over for this year, just the An2 and Sikorski S-38 to go. They leave on Wednesday to an airfield somewhere in England ;)
The date for the display next year will be 8th September and from what I hear on the grapevine should have the usual mix of unusual acts not seen anywhere else in the UK and possibly Europe.
