Took a stroll up to the Jet Age Museum's workshop today in Brockworth, it's about 400 yards from my front door! They're open to the public between 1 and 4pm on Saturdays now.

The Gamecock replica is absolutely stunning. The port side is covered and finished but they're leaving the starboard wing and various strategic parts without fabric to display the breathtaking craftmanship that has gone into the project. The E28/39 replica is also there, with an Aladdin's cave of Gloster memorabilia. Well worth a visit if you're in area and any funds raised will go towards their imminent Planning Application to build a permanent museum. They politely ask that photographs are not to be published, so I haven't but on the way back, I took this picture of the 'grafitti' mural on the nearby Youth Centre wall, which features a Hurricane and the old Hucclecote Control Tower.

That sounds interesting, I was born in Brockworth (many years ago!), it could be a good excuse to visit & have a look around the area:)

I thought that the Saturday opening wasn't permanent and only runs to the end of this month???? Best check first if travelling any distance.
