Reading the thread about Meteor crashes reminded me of my visits to the wreckage of the two Meteors which crashed on Sliddens Moss in Derbyshire. I'm a teacher and I take small groups of students on a walk up to this site and the nearby Superfortress on Higher Shelf Stones eachh summer. These photos are from a trip a couple of years ago. One piece of wreckage had a small drawing of a Meteor on which I found rather moving.
Unfortunately on my last visit in July this year I discovered that someone had felt the need to scratch their name in large letters through the middle of the drawing so ruining it.
