-"I shot down the Red Baron I think" was a spoof film that starred and was dirrected byCliff Robertson. It was filmed at Weston in Ireland and used the ex "Blue Max" A/C.
My father was involved in the flying and i have pics of the filming. Sadly it was never realesed as the producer was killed in the mid air between the Camera Helicopter and full size SE5 durring filming of "Zepperlin" All these films were shot around the same time to make use of the A/C. Von Richtofen and Brown was a completely seperate film.

-On the same topic, Author Richard Bach's story
"I shot Down the Red Baron, and so what"
details some of his flying for "von Richthofen and Brown".
It's published in his 1974 anthology, A Gift of Wings.

-Indeed Bach did fly for Vr and Brown. He is in the front row of the picture below. far right. As an aside Low and Slow and myself purchased a Prop for the BE2 that came off Richard Bachs Tiger Moth that he brought with his earnings from "Jonathan Livingstons Seagull. Its a small world:)
Also in the picture below the Irish Air Corp pilot Jim Liddy who was killed in the mid air between the helicopter and Miles full size SE5 is standing far right in the back row.

In follow up to my recent posting, I was keen
to know if anyone had heard of a film title:
I SHOT DOWN RICHTHOFEN, I THINK
It may have been an original title to "The Dubious
Patriots" which of course became "You Can't
Win 'Em All".
I thought it might have been an alternate title
to Von Richthofen and Brown?
Thank you
