Thanks Martyn, I believe you have it! Another suggestion was Mig-19, which I've been ploughing through 'walkarounds' for quite a while with. Most other Soviet grips seem to have wrist rests. Your pics look just right. Almost old forum levels of high speed ID. Cheers! Also couldn't see that B-47 centre cap, Fly Buy. Not cheap I imagine?

The B47 cap was a nice example and sold early this morning for $200 as a buy it now. Congratulations to the purchaser a nice item.
The problems with purchasing from the US (as I’m sure many have found out) is the added charges these being - postal fees + 20% VAT + postal service handling fees. What initially may seem good value can get a little expensive!
Good to see that people are still Posting on this thread, I do feel that the Key aero forum has got a little stagnated since the uplift which is a pity really.
Bucaneer XN977 column and grip currently on eBay item 202870421670 has some nice history to this example. Did anyone read the book based on the rush to get the Buccs on Combat air patrol over Belize?

Gentlemen, good evening. This is a bad photo of my collection. Swifterr. In the near future I will fulfill your request and make a good picture. There are very rare instances in my collection and I will definitely exhibit them.

Best regards, flatter99.

Hi flatter99,

A very, very impressive collection!  How long have you been collecting?

Good morning everyone . I’ve been collecting it for 20 years. Over the years, I have acquired only one wheel, which did not require restoration. All other wheels had to be restored. I spent 1 or 2 years on some old wheels. This is long  because it is difficult to find original buttons and switches. I  do not use mechanisms and do everything with my hands. I like to do it.

That's a very impressive collection, flatter99. Do you powder coat or spray your yokes? The finish is excellent. You look to have invested heavily in stands, too. A collection that takes up a lot of room!

Hi flatter99. Very interesting collection. I can identify many but not all. If you have time, any chance that you could give a list of the yokes which you have?

An impressive collection indeed Flatter99--with obvious emphasis on doing high quality restoration work.

Good morning. Thank you for your kind words addressed to me. Every wheel I restore to the state when it flew from the factory. If the wheel is covered with plastic, then I restore the plastic if possible. 90% of the wheels in my collection are powder coated. First, I remove all corrosion and oxides, not a single spot remains. Then treatment with phosphoric acid and powder coating. There are several wheels that have both plastic and  metal, then I apply other primers and paints.

Now this TU-16 wheel is in the APHS Museum.

Hi Beaufighter, lovely acquisition you have there, thanks for the photo, certainly a very rare item, was this the same one that appeared in an auction some 12 months ago! If so I too managed to acquire one of the yokes from the same collection.
