Lobster .....but it's not a Rapide. It is a de Havilland twin but an even rarer beauty, a Dragonfly (as the OP mentioned). One of only two worldwide and the sole UK based example. Tim

Monday 29 December Final couple of entries for 2014. The de Havilland Dragonfly came in again from Biggin Hill on Monday for another visit. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v165/YakRider/DragonflyLand1-1000_zps5b3034ac.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v165/YakRider/DragonflyLand2-1000_zpsff0533ab.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v165/YakRider/DragonflyTaxi-1000_zpsea73e259.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v165/YakRider/DragonflyPark-1000_zps4aef0dd5.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v165/YakRider/DragonflyTakeOff1-1000_zpsf3799949.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v165/YakRider/DragonflyTakeOff2-1000_zpscc160f75.jpg

Tuesday 30 December The Singapore Strikmaster is not out that often, so was a welcome sight on Tuesday when it did a local flight and some circuits. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v165/YakRider/StrikemasterTaxi-1000_zps07421097.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v165/YakRider/StrikemasterTakeOff1-1000_zps09758748.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v165/YakRider/StrikemasterTakeoff-1000_zps6ffd0a60.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v165/YakRider/StrikemasterTouchandGo1-1000_zpsc247c9fa.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v165/YakRider/StrikemasterTouchandGo2-1000_zpsb76caff6.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v165/YakRider/StrikemasterTouchandGo3-1000_zps9e2a5463.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v165/YakRider/StrikemasterLand1-1000_zps5b2cbdd9.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v165/YakRider/StrikemasterLand2-1000_zpsad2db59e.jpg That's all for this year, folks! Just as DCW, Duxman and Penpusher are quite rightly thanked for their input with the Duxford thread, I'd like to say thank you YakRider for the excellent coverage and updates of the comings and goings at Weald - an airfield I don't get to visit as often as I'd like. Happy New Year! Rob

Can't get enough of the Dragonfly. Did it change hands as I believe it was up for sale recently? Agree with the previous posters, please keep up the good work on the photo updates and I look forward to your efforts in 2015

Dragonfly is now with the Shipping and Airlines collection at Biggin Hill. Quite the best looking of the DH twins. ;) Bruce

So it's in good hands then. Still remember my flight in it at a Moth Club event at Old Warden and good value at £60.

Love the pictures of the Dragonfly. Always had a soft spot for the DH biplane twins of that era.
