There's an excellent new(ish) museum relating to RAF Defford and it's radar research role at the National Trust's Croome Park property. The museum is in part of the nicely restored RAF SSQ building - which is now used as the NT Visitor Centre. The period tea room - presumably a former ward area - is good and there's a nice Austin K2 YMCA tea van parked outside - shame if it's stuck outside all the time though - doesn't do much for it's long term preservation.

The museum includes the engine and other recovered remains of Spitfire V EN915. In the video "cinema", the official intructional videos on radar systems such as Monica and Eureka/Rebecca are well worth a slice of your life.

Definitely worth a visit if in the vicinity
