-RE: Dambusters 60th Anniversary
Thanks for the heads up Neilly, sounds like an interesting event.Dunno what I'll be doing that weekend, but hopefully I can make it.I've never been to Brooklands before either,so that's a double incentive to go.Is one of the models gonna be your Mossie Neil??

Hi All,
As most of you will know 2003 will be the 60th Anniversary of Operation Chastise & the Brooklands Museum is organising Model flying events to celebrate this anniversary. Friday, 16th May & Saturday 17th May are the two days of the event, Saturday being the main feature day.
Barnes Wallis did most of his work at Brooklands & therefore model aircraft will be competing for the Barnes Wallis Memorial Trophy. The models eligible to take part all have conections with Wallis' work eg. Wellington, Mosquito & Lancaster. They are also reconstructing a lake & dam for the models to attack, so it should be quite a day out.
Other models, that flew from Brooklands, are also welcome. So there should be a good veriety of models taking part & plenty of flying going on. The person to contact, if you want more information, is Gemma Lane on 01932 857381.
Cheers,
Neilly
ps. I thought these 2 piccies might whet the imagination (apologies for poor quality)
