Hi there I'm looking for any Spitfire pics, old or new, that I can put up on my webpage. In service, post-war, movie shots, airshows etc... All contributions gratefully received and credited.

Daz, I've been scouring the web for years now, looking for wallpaper sized shots. Mostly airshow stuff, many that you have likely seen, but some might be worthwhile additions. Trouble is I'm not sure what they all came from, and since they are for personal use I have blotted out or cropped out the credits on some of them. I can remember where some came from though. Let me know, and I'll see what I can do. Is your site up yet? What's the URL? I'm always looking for more good shots for my collection. Charles

Hi Charles My web URL is: http://www.spitfirebuilder.4t.com My site is dedicated to Spitfire replica projects from around the world, but I thought I might provide some "inspiration" by using pics of full-sized machines in a seperate photo section (or two) at the end of the site. Unfortunately, some of the pages don't contain anything more than the template stuff that was given to me, so only the following pages are finished or detailed: Home Base Briefing Room Spitfire Times The Hangar In The Workshop Spitfire Mk26 Silence Jurca MJ10/MJ100 (photos only so far) More will come along when I get time to add the stuff on! Hope you enjoy what you see! I shall, of course, credit any photos I use to you.

Daz, I have a few that you can use, as long as you don't mind printing my website on them for reference. Sample is provided (from NZ). Cheers, Mike.

Daz, You are welcome to use any Spitfire pictures from my Webshots Albums. http://community.webshots.com/user/avro683 All I ask is that you acknowledge my name as the provider. Sample from Duxford's Centenary of Flight is hopefully attached.

Thanks for those pics, guys - full credit will be given on the page, and I'll let you know when it's up. Keep 'em coming! :) PS - as some of you don't give your full names, I'll use you forum nicknames - hope this OK with you!

Absolutely, let me have the address that you want it sent to and the size that you prefer (file size is 738kb) and I will send an untouched copy. If of interest, I have a total of 8 images of '597 on the ground and are about 740kb in size and I am happy to mail them all to you, if you want! Let me know.

Thanks Tony I'll drop you a message with the address off line, I'd be interested in any of 597 to increase the size of the archive. To date I have of her from 1942 through to the present day. Cheers again Ian

Daz, Please credit the BoB shot of AR213 on your website to Peter Sargent. The full details of your mystery shot of 'Good luck chum', the pilots, the wing detaching and the full movement card detail are on pages 90 & 91 of 'Spitfire- The History'. Mark

Mark12 - will do, and thanks for the info. I was wondering why, when I put up my post on the photo, you said something about the wing coming off! Thanks again.
