Tim,
I assume you mean the Beau being restored by The Fighter Collection.
Visit their site at:

to get an update.

-RE: BEAUFIGHTER AT DUXFORD
When seen at the Flying Legends in 1999 the (visual) condition of the aircraft was this;
Cockpit looks completed with avionics installed. Cockpit mated to nose and center section. Engine nacells looked complete minus engines. Wings not visible. Rear Fuselage complete but not restored (perhaps not necessary?).
Incidentally when seen around 93 the nose showed a `Goofy` nose art.

-How the hell was the above post edited in 1970? 50 years before originally posted and long before the internet existed.

Just look around you. :)

-I thought one of the sticking points with the Beau was the engines --or lack of them.

JUST WONDERING IF ANYONE OUT THER KNOWS THE RESTORATION STATUS OF THE BEAUFIGHTER AT DUXFORD IN THE UK? WHEN I WAS THER LAST IN '93 THE NOSE AND COCKPIT AREA (NOT COMPLETE) COULD BE SEEN IN ONE OF THE RESTORATION HANGARS. THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR ANY INFO YOU CAN PROVIDE. IT WOULD DEFINITELY BE WORTH A TRIP OVER TO SEE A BEAU' TAKE TO THE AIR!
