Indeed. Now if we could just get a Sea Fury FB.11 with arrester hook and hydraulic folding wings at Duxford we would then have the full set :love-struck:

There will be, with Sea Fury FB.11 WG599, but it is still in progress at Chino, California (for The Fighter Collection). In this recent panorama of the California Aerofab shop, you can pan to the left and see it in the background, getting pretty far along now/close to completion (the TP-40N, also seen, is of course the one owned by the Collings Foundation, recently completed): https://www.facebook.com/flyingbronc...type=3&theater

I remember VX653 when in the RAFM, It’s been one of the longest running I-wonder-whens. Looking forward to seeing progress on it when conditions permit.

Michael O'Leary (Air Classics/Warbirds Intl.) reported on California Aerofab in late 2017 and on their history of projects for Stephen Grey/The Fighter Collection. In the article it described how Grey/TFC currently have two Sea Fury projects at California Aerofab - the FB.11 WG599, closest to being completed, and the two-seat T.Mk.20 VZ345, which is a longer term project with components of that project also being worked on at Fighter Rebuilders.

Love that last pic of the Sea Fury in Duxman’s post 146, an aspect rarely photographed with the gear out.
