I've been advised that the first invitations for this year's event on 22 & 23 June were sent out this morning so I thought that I'd start a thread to cover any significant developments and try to answer any questions.

This will be my last planned Cockpitfest. I will have done all 20. Planning to go out with a bang!

Thank you for the feedback Rocketeer & I know that everyone at Newark will miss your longer term involvement; but equally will be interested in the "bang"!

Hopefully before now and the event in June there will be a nice pre-event write-up in FlyPast!! :)

Thanks for the update and good wishes TonyT, details have been forwarded through to NAM.

The first listing for Cockpit-Fest19 has now been added to the NAM website and it’s good to see a first time exhibitor already on this year’s list; in the shape of The Buccaneer Aviation Group with their S2.B cockpit XW550.

Updates have appeared on the NAM website for both Cockpit-Fest & the associated Aeroboot /Aerojumble sale; the Twitter timeline is also reporting that "more than half of the available spaces have now been allocated for this latter event!"

Another Cockpit-Fest update (2 in fact) have been added to the NAM website today - nice to see some more previous 'cockpiteers' returning to display at the 2019 event. Perhaps it's something to do with the recent feature by Ken Ellis in FlyPast.

The latest Cockpit-Fest news update has now been added to the NAM website; details in here http://www.newarkairmuseum.org/Cockpit-Fest_2019

Earlier today I was contacted by the BBMF regarding the Spitfire, Hurricane & Dakota flypasts for this event, they're all looking good!

The latest Cockpit-Fest update on the NAM website includes the following info:

“It gives me great pleasure to announce that the 'flight line' for Cockpit-Fest is FULL, we have squeezed everyone in - just!!!! We do have very limited space for any indoor displays.”

There's been a steady influx of cockpits this afternoon/evening and this page on the NAM website has most of the information that you would need to know if planning to visit Cockpit-Fest & Aeroboot this weekend!

I’ll second that, although because of work commitments I could only make the Sunday as an exhibitor. But a superb turn out and organisation as ever.

And also a big thank you to Ken Ellis and the Newark team for giving my Wyvern cockpit representation and Navy items the ‘Spirit Of Cockpitfest’ award. You could of knocked me over with a feather - well chuffed :).

A fantastic weekend, one of the best we have had in recent years. A great catch up and injection of enthusiasm for pushing the projects forward. Roll on next year,
I too forgot to take any photos oops lol.
