What a proud sight XM296 1959 https://s3.eu-west-2.amazonaws.com/abpic-media-eu-production/pictures/full_size_034/1051311-large.jpg
What a sad sight N82D 60 years later 2019 at Viru Viru (Bolivia), since November 2014 after inflight damage of both starboard engines. Seems repaired - but now it has a damaged rudder!

It's a disgrace that neither XM296 nor any of the former Queens Flight Herons got preserved by the RAF Museum!
