Heavy handedness...here?, Never!
What I find amusing is the
usual explanation that the topic had run its course.
If one goes to the general discussion page, we see a BREXIT thread which had degenerated into to blokes still arguing after everyone else has left the party.
Several other threads ( "news", film reviews, etc.) are largely the contributions of just one person...I would argue that they need to be on a social media account, not a forum.
Then we have also had in the distant past, mods allowing (or even contributing to) various anti-religion, purely political or anti-American rants, occasionally including not so veiled insults (including wishing the death of Margaret Thatcher) and other purely subjective threads and posts going unchecked.

Geoff, quoting a newspaper article isn’t exactly punishable by law.
There does seem to be overzealous heavy handedness on this forum, which is a real pity.
