i have to downsize and will be disposing of a classic 'tear-drop' from the 1930/40/50's. I have noted all the serials, etc from the underneath. Can anyone tell me what type of aircraft it might have been fitted to?

Elliot, it's approx 72 cms long, it's brown bakelite and it is made of 3 pieces (+ plate that lies flat on the outside skin )
