Good to see that people continue to remember and care;

People do remember and care. We went to great lengths to honour two Canadian airmen who crashed in their Mosquito while returning after a combat sortie in June 1944. We even went to great lengths to hold the remembrance and unveiling of the memorial at the crash site on the 75th anniversary of the crash on the 30th June 2019. We took care to involve the family of the pilot , with relatives flying in from Canada especially for the service.
We went to the trouble of repeatedly informing both the BBC Look East news desk and Anglia TV news so they could cover the story for the two weeks prior to the event. we even supplied the full written desription of what had happened, what had been done to remember the crew , when where and how.

I'm sorry to say neither of the two organisations showed the remotest interest.
We had our own film made of the memorial service, the village did us proud.
