An acquantaince told me today that he'd heard a tale that the aircraft currently touring as the "Silver Spitfire" spent some time as a project in a garage in Kidlington - of interest as that is the location of chez moi (it wasn't our shed!).

Can anyone confirm or refute this? Presumably some considerable time ago before it headed to the Netherlands?

Second answer to you Adrian..........
no it's not, the aircraft I built in Kidlington was Mk5 BL370, certainly not flying around the world, or I hope it's not !
BL370 should be hanging from the rafters in the National D Day Museum in New Orleans USA..........

Well, if I will keep asking daft questions...

That'll be this one then: http://www.warbirdregistry.org/spitr...ire-bl370.html

Doesn't look bad for something that presumably started out as big lumps of Daz? You made a decent job!

ETA - are you still local?
