Errrrr....whazzat avatar ? is that a non Spitfire I see ? Shock ! it looks like a jet ! Horror.....maybe even a Bucc? ?
The Spitfire will always have place in a British run forum, much like I'd imagine the Mustang would do in the States.
What are the 'planes that hold the most for you ?. Start a thread on one and methinks you'd be surprised by the response...even from the resident Forum Spitfire Squadron

-Alright then, sounds like a good idea to me! :D
Brilliant.....those pylons in the background almost look like the original radar masts we had during the last big one.

OK Chaps, listen in, now the balloons going up this Friday evening on the Gamezone (around game 50 from 21:00hrs. Look for the Forum Game, enter password 'spitfire') and we're to get stuck in. Its going to be a bit dicey and dare say some of chaps might get their paint a tad scratched, so remember, watch out for your wingman and get stuck in. Now secrecy is the of the utmost importance, you'll need to check in this thread to make sure some bally scoundrel hasnt left any details carelessy behind nearer the time.

Just as a result of there being so many Spitfires still in existence, I suppose. I would be happy to post some pictures of airworthy surviving examples of the two aircraft that interest me most: Typhoon and Whirlwind. Sadly, there is nothing to post. Might soon have some good 1940s photos of one of the types, though.
