It's been a funny start to the year, but I thought that today's good news was worthy of starting a new thread for 2021.

Newark Air Museum has a GAF Jindivik coming to its site in eastern Nottinghamshire.

"It’s so nice to be able to advise that the museum has just uploaded the first Cockpit-Fest 2021 participation list to the  website – we finally seem to be making some progress rather than desperately trying to keep afloat!

Fresh NAM Aeroboot/Aerojumble info picked up from elsewhere:

"This morning we held a brief socially distanced site meeting  to explore the possibility of expanding the number of spaces that will be available for the Outdoor Aeroboot/Aerojumble on Sat 3rd July 2021.

This has been made possible as there will be no visiting cockpit displays as would normally be on site for this sale; further details will follow once the options have been evaluated.

Well, it looks like the autojumble world is slowly coming back to life, so let's hope the relatively small number of traders pre-booked for the 3rd is just a sign of caution about Covid and the weather on the day, etc?

I do hope there's a really good turn out of traders and visitors (read "buyers") on the 3rd,  I'm already preparing for it!

The seller numbers are getting close to a typical Cockpit-Fest outdoor Aeroboot sale level & there is space for more due to the lack of cockpit display areas - a few 'old-timers' also seem to have returned this time as well!

It's starting to feel like a good sale might take place.
