-Recently acquired an engine spares box from the aircraft carrier Graf Zeppelin. Okay its Naval but with a hint of aviation.....
Unfortunately the 109T's and folding wing Ju87's never arrived as Rader and Goering had a tiff. Perhaps I can count when Gibson and 106 Sqdn Lancasters tried to bomb her as aviation.

-ISTR that some of the 109T's were used for 'Wilde Sau' night fighter ops.
Sounds like an interesting spares box FarlamA - got a pic ??

-I recovered a data plate from Sgt. Ward's Wellington L7818 back in the 1980's. It was the best find ever. Donated it to the RNZAF museum a few years ago.

-Bazv - as requested pics of the spares box -for the piston rings for the MAN diesel generators used for in port electrical generation. Confirmed by MAN archive with the shipping confirmation documents to Deutsche Werk at Kiel - just after Adolf had launched her.
I also have a section of Malay teak from the Tirpitz deck - with a plaque on it from Mayor of Tromso to 617 Sqdn.

-I aquired an original example of the Dinky Toy diecast model of the Maia Composite aircraft, upon the death of my father.
He remembered seeing the real thing, taking-off from the River Tay, when he skived off school.

I suppose out of the many items over the years
an argentinian pucara bomb fusing panel and tacho from the falklands
or a ww2 1:48 brass trench art whirlwind with a base made from a 20mm shell and RAF button

I think mine was a Lufftwaffe Officers peaked cap, I bought in the late 1960s, and still have somewhere in the loft.
