-Well one thing's for sure, Su-35 won't be any cheaper than F-15SE - if we're to judge by the price of the latest batch of Su-30MKIs offered to India...

What was the MKIs price and what does the price include?
Thanks

Basically the link says that the previous batch of 40 MKIs ordered in 2007 came to 1.5 billion USD (approx 38 million apiece) while the latest batch of 42 MKIs will cost 4.29 billion (102 million apiece). The deal does include A-to-A and A-to-G weapons as well as French radars (instead of the Bars?).
But here's the original Indian TV station link as well:

I don't know Levsha..
Typical bad Media coverage at work here.
As allways, 'The devil is in the details':)
If nobody know what kind of missile/weapon deals we are talking about, then the price per aircraft is not correct.
And it could be much lower.
It is a 'deep' modernisation of the Su-30MKI aka Super MKI.
We also don't know which engines and radar will be attached to this deal.
If the NIIP AESA and 117C engines goes with it, this would surly increase the price per aircraft.
Anyway, thx for the links.
Thanks

those are the same information I heard.. NIIP Aesa and new engines, and possibly the HUD in the Pak-fa as well. I think a French radar will be unlikely as they'll have to go through the trouble of re-integrating everything. but it could explain why it is expensive. nothing from France is ever cheap.

-So NIIP has an working AESA in production now? And, if so, why isnt it fited in the Su-35s for the RuAF? Cost reasons?
Seems the new Indian MKIs will be kick ass indeed..

The NIIP AESA is not ready for any serie production yet.
Only at the test stage, dunno how many they fittet into testbeds though..
The Su-35S production is kicking in next year.
Hens the IRBIS PESA for the Su-35S, which is a monster in the Russian PESA radar Evolution.
Edit:
Not that the IRBIS is any low budged radar eighter, do anyone have anything news about the Su-35S cost per unit?
Thanks

these two represent probably the final model for the two heavy 4th gen air dominance fighters. but which would actually be more successful in being adopted?
Su-35 - seems highly likely RuAF will adopt it to make up numbers. Doubtful if Malaysia, Algeria, or Venezuela would buy it.. highly unlikely China will buy it. Maybe Kazakhstan might..they need a mig-31 replacement and to strengthen their air force to defend itself against China and their ally, Uzbekistan.
F-15SE - seems unlikely to be adopted by the USAF, but some small chance S.Korea and Japan will buy it, perhaps likely Kuwait and some other Mid-East country will buy it..
