due to lack of pictures, i have my old shots of models i made about 8 years ago of what would have been Mig-29A next to Mig-1.44 size comparison.

Looking at the wing area and just overall, Mig.144 certainly looks like it could easily take on the Mig-31 role as well as mig-29 and Su-35. I bet it is a great start design for next Chinese J-XX

wish i had more to contribute. Well hopefully this thread will bring out more forgotten sources/links.

best regards, and thanks for all contribution!!!

I must say fantastic models. Do you have internal bays on that 1.44 model ?

P.s. that model of MiG29 is it a Yugoslav/Serbian sn. 18109, plane in which commander of Serbian fighter squadron lost his life in battle with NATO jets ?

yes, thats the one. Inspiration came from that event! Milenko Pavlovic flew 18109 s/n plane! Pretty awesome that you noticed. He is a hero to me.

Sadly i only had brushes to do painting.

I will try to take photo of the bottom of this 1.44 model soon. I can't look quickly as its stored in a box in closet, but i remember sort of Mig-31 type bottom fuselage half retracted missile points.

peace!

here is the bottom. You can see places for 4 missiles, but I believe 5 could fit in the frame with todays arrangement abilities. Specially if 3 were slightly lower that the top two. Also i increased contrast so you can see better lines of the proposed internal bay doors. Seems to match Paralay's photo above.

cheers

Wow, now that is a professional build. Much better color match too. Maybe a bit shy on the brown , but I overdid my for sure!! Makes my old brush paint look bahahaDD :-)

I think this KS-172 would be mounted on a pylon closer to the body for sure.

gorgeous model. DAMN !!!!makes me wanna buy another one and start from scratch.

As for my mig-29, i would never want to do it with air brush when it comes to old version As from cold war era. Its just that Soviets never cared to have them look so pretty as NATO planes were. All of them looked like they were painted with wall paint rollers and by a hand of the same guy that peas tomatoes in the kitche. I have seen many air brushed models that look 10x better that any Mig-29A ever did. Just not a Mig-29A ya know !!:-)

best regards

yeh, I can't believe there STILL isn't a higher quality video, or photos of Mig-1.44 SINCE 2000 !!!!!!

by the way, what the hell is this piece of info from Wikipedie:

MiG 1.42/42 Primary version which may go onto production; the functions are better than that of the 1.44. Known as the "Foxglove".
COMPLETELY WRONG ^^^

MiG 1.44 Demonstrator prototype with failure upgrades; will remain a demonstrator. 2 have been built. Codename is "Flatpack".

TWO BUILT ?????^^^

Are constructed: one 1.44 and two "tanks-compartments" 1.42. The building berth for a wing 1.42 is made
