Plenty of details in that one. A few that caught my eye:-

- Upgrade in two steps as we already know
- AESA array for Bars after the development of Pak-fa radar is done.
- A lighter version of BARS, Bars-130 for Yak-130
- Testing done for Upgraded Bars for Su-30Mki and Su-30SM (?).
About Irbis
- Unique target identification achieved at the range of 400km
- First Irbis equipped Tu-22 and Tu-160 in 2014.
About Zhuk-AE
- FGA-35 and FGA-29 are ready to be supplied in the near future.

The sexual desires of the Camel
Are greater than anyone thinks.
This perverted, but passionate animal
Has designs on the hole in the Sphinx.
But at times, this very large orifice is filled with the sands of the Nile.
Which accounts for the Camel's expression.
And the Sphinx's inscrutable smile........

Many thanks for sharing your findings Twinblade. Some interesting info there.
Why do they want to put a BARS in the Yaks? Sounds expensive.. For pilot training purposes? (That would make some sense i guess). Or for something else?
And that AESA array, -will it be fitted to the Indian Super 30s?
OT: Have other Flanker customers beside India shown any interest in/made requests for AESA-capacity so far? What about Malaysia? Or are they simply satisfied with the current performance?

they're offering an attack capable version of Yak-130,
making it available for export doesn't necessarily indicate RuAF interest,
although having it available mean they can consider it also.

Well, there is the old-ish Sapsan for the Su-30:
The KS-N(?):
And a few others in development it seems. I also seem to recall seeing a mock-up pod for the MiG-29M2/35/K/KUB but I might be wrong there.
And MKIs have been flying with these for quite a while (though not a Russian component, but a targeting pod on a Russian a/c nonetheless):

Ok that showed me... now I'm worried about the India-level chaos in the variety of pods being used and apparently in development. :p

They are working on a pod for the Su-25SM3, I suspect this will be the same (or modified) thing.
It is about damn time, hopefully does not go the way of Sapsan.
