The two active Hips in Sierra Leone are 9L-LBX (Mi-8PS) and ER-MHG (Mi-8MTV)

That report is really wonky - lots of stuff listed that's out of service (e.g. Peruivan Su-22s).

SIERRA LEONE....

thanks, Msphere, for your comment , BUT, by seeing on airliners.net for these 2 registrations; it's NOT convincing :apologetic:

On acig.org, you find also more about their HISTORIC Mi-24's ....:p

thanks, Thobbes, for your POV ; it's a more realistic one !:applause:

African Cessna-208 ISR?

The US AIR FORCE SECURITY ASSISTANCE TRAINING SQUADRON reports it is providing training for 'Nigeria, Mauritania and Kenya Cessna 208 ISR programs' http://www.aetc.af.mil/library/factsheets/factsheet.asp?id=6299

Anyone who can confirm that these 3 countries are getting Cessna-208 ISRs?

Etienne, if you are referring to the previous military looking Hips (9L-LBD and 9L-LBT), they are long gone. Daisy has crashed in June 2007 and Bookie was left to rot on Freetown airfield. She's a sad wreck now.

Pictures of the two birds in better times (december 2004) : sad they are no more in active duties.

Correct, my bad. ER-MHG was operated by Sierra Leone govt only by early 2001, then switched to UN for until 2005.
Today flown by Valan International Cargo Charter in Chisinau.

Hi MSphere,
do you know what complete word was sprayed up on ER-MHG (just after tailboom code) ?
Just read AMIS.
