No. The early CH47 had a Naca 4 digit sym airfoil (0012) like many rotorcraft. Commonality, pattern of employment and simplification in growth (huge increase in payload - I think it's the F model that could lift its A ancestor) have led to only minor modification of the rotor blade sections like in many other helicopters.
Please find below an illustration of CL comparison with a more modern airfoil from Boeing Vertol with the same characteristics (thickness 12%):
As you can see, there are some huge difference that makes for the increase of lift, hence a net payload advantage.

10% of contract value are for Pakistan (either for Uh1Y or ah1Z what could be the first time Pak acquire such).
