Super Hornets observe UFOs: https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/national-security/head-of-pentagons-secret-ufo-office-sought-to-make-evidence-public/2017/12/16/90bcb7cc-e2b2-11e7-8679-a9728984779c_story.html?utm_term=.d43bcceda55c https://www.nytimes.com/2017/12/16/us/politics/unidentified-flying-object-navy.html Interesting that this has been released. What do people think, will we see more UFOs when more F-35s start flying? The F-35 do have better sensors than previous generations so should detect more objects but OTOH should be able to identify them better due to the better sensors and sensor fusion? Also, do people believe these are ETs? Or something else? Some former CIA/DOD people and a guy from Skunk Works seem to buy into these stories!? https://dpo.tothestarsacademy.com/ Edit: One more video here: https://coi.tothestarsacademy.com/2004-nimitz-flir1-video Edit2: Report here: https://coi.tothestarsacademy.com/2004-nimitz-flir1-video

I think you still have it on top after the last time. ;) Seriously, are we going to invade... Home (pointing to the stars).

It's daft to poopoo it out of hand. This stuff is suddenly all over the news, and if it was about Russians in Syria we would all be applying our intellects one way or another. But because it's a bit Fox Mulder, suddenly it's a joke.

What device are they using onboard the F/A-18s to capture the video? Seems really stable for something shot through a HUD. Its a DARPA off-shoot pretending to be a UFO.

AN/ASQ-228 ATFLIR would be my guess.

Popular Mechanics on a summary:
The Super Hornets flew to investigate the last known location of the object and to their surprise, found two objects. The first was large and just below the surface of the water, causing the water to churn. The second object hovered just 50 feet above the water, moving erratically. The second object suddenly rose up and flew towards the Super Hornets, with one pilot. Commander David Fravor, saying it appeared it was rising up to meet him. The Hornet turned towards the object to meet it and the object peeled away, accelerating, “like nothing I’ve ever seen,” Fravor later said. The Super Hornets conferred with the USS Princeton and were vectored to a CAP point 60 miles away. Within seconds, the pilots were told by the Princeton that radar had picked up the object already at the CAP point. By the time the Super Hornets arrived however the object had already disappeared.
www.popularmechanics.com/military/a14456936/that-time-the-us-navy-had-a-close-encounter-with-a-ufo/ I also find this qoute from the NYT article interesting:
“I have no idea what I saw,” Commander Fravor replied to the pilot. “It had no plumes, wings or rotors and outran our F-18s.” But, he added, “I want to fly one.”

Very odd.

According to a former Pentagon analyst it is indeed the AN/ASQ-228 ATFLIR:
The sensor, a Raytheon AN/ASQ-228 Advanced Targeting Forward-Looking Infrared (ATFLIR) pod...
https://coi.tothestarsacademy.com/2004-nimitz-flir1-video The report (most likely written by the same analyst): https://coi.tothestarsacademy.com/nimitz-report Huffpost on this: https://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/inside-knowledge-about-unidentified-aerial-phenomena_us_59dc1230e4b0b48cd8e0a5c7 A bunch of crackpots? Or are they onto something?

More information on this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T-Dp1FzKods WOW Now I understand why they kept it secret -- what I don't understand is how and why this got out!? Amazing...

"My personal belief is that there is very compelling evidence that we may not be alone,"
Look if you have seen evidence that you're not alone, you don't go saying "we may not be alone."; "You say we are not alone.". Holy empty sentence batman. What does "compelling evidence" that we might not be alone even mean? So this whole thing is just thin air, as far as I'm concerned.

I find the recent report from AFM about the history of 'UFO' sightings in Iran particularity interesting. http://www.airforcesmonthly.com/2017/12/18/iran-ufo-reports-revealed/ We're all aware of the 'Beast of Kandahar' after it was either brought down by the Iranians or due to technical faults, but it seems clear that clandestine ISR missions have been occurring in Iran ever since the time of he Shah. Clearly the US military, with perhaps collaboration with Israel, have been using some form of highly secret and technically advanced platforms in the airspace of that part of the world for a number of decades.

So this whole thing is just thin air, as far as I'm concerned.
This is more than thin air it seems. From the original NYT story:
Under Mr. Bigelow’s direction, the company modified buildings in Las Vegas for the storage of metal alloys and other materials that Mr. Elizondo and program contractors said had been recovered from unidentified aerial phenomena.
So they actually have materials from the UFOs... And if you review the interview of Blumenthal (from 2.22) he confirms that these materials are being investigated and that the researchers investigating them do not know what the materials are made of... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T-Dp1FzKods Of course this may be a false claim.... If it's false claim then hopefully Pentagon will clear this up. And even if the claim on materials and alloys are correct, it does not necessarily mean that they have been created by aliens, it could be a black US program. However what speaks against the idea of this being the results of a top secret black US project is that a former program director from Skunk Works is fully onboard and believes this is from alien space ship. I assume that the Skunk Works people have a pretty good idea of the overall technology level of US black programs considering that they themselves have been contributing to many of them.... Of course it could still be a US black program that either Skunk Works was not part in (that somehow managed to develop technology so advanced that the Skunk Works and the other researchers do not recognize it as "human") or that the former Skunk Works Director is part of a "false flag" operation... Interesting times...

Or the whole thing is convenient disinformation by the US mil..... People of great accomplishment and authority (cosmonauts) have been convinced we are not alone before, but when you look at their evidence....mmmm yeah.....not too convincing. 20 million blown by Reid and his friends on some pet program that thinks aliens are out there must seem like a gift to whatever DoD program is running these objects and trying to do so undercover.

That's what I meant by "false flag". What would be the purpose of spreading such disinformation? If the stories from Iran are true then it would indicate that the US (perhaps in collaboration with Israel) has invented technology so advanced that most people are not able to comprehend how it could possibly work. And they did this several decades ago? That would turn the F-35 (and perhaps even the F-22) into some kind of a joke....

Doesn't have to be anything so fantastic as "technology that seems unhuman". Simply free cover from prying eyes on the latest projects. Secrecy is generally an attribute valued by black programs. Vague "alien like qualities" as performance markers is the definition of successful disinformation aimed at foreign intelligence.

You can't let out a video like that and don't back it with more proof. This is embarrassing for the DoD. Unless this is a sophisticated psy warfare thing to make Kim run afoul into South Korea! As a side note, it's so easy in this area to have the horizon blurred with tick sea fog to the point that you can't make the disticntion b/w sea and sky. They might have well been circling Coronado islands ;)

Did you read the translated stories from Iran, linked to above?
