The end of the gripens in the Czech Air Force?
Prime minister today announces that tender for new supersonic aircrafts will be declared this year. Prime minister said that there is no chance for gripens producer until it gives all informations about corruption with the cancelled deal about gripens buying in 2001 as well. If it not give the infos Czech republic will buy aircrafts from another producer for sure...

Nothing except JAS39C makes too much sense. I think the only reason for prime minister's words is to bargain a better buying price. If Gripen should be dropped for any reason, I can imagine Czechs going for ex-RAF Typhoon F2s

why would the Czechs need the F-35? to stealthily bomb Slovakian air defenses? they barely need Gripens to begin with.

Sounds like a smart guy that Prime Minister. A little too mouch wacco tobacco lately, huh?
Considering the size of the current self defencefore, which will more and more swich over to become a pure police/peacekeeping force for baysitting this or that sh!thole in the Third World as a part of "A Joint Tactical Rapid Reaction Force Combat Team" whenever EU or Nato wants/needs to flex some muscles or just show off for the world press. And considering the funds allocated to the defenceforces each year, all of a sudden hold an international tender to buy and replace the most powerful weapons system in its inventory (which is still working like a clock) doesnt sound very smart. Not very smart at all in fact.
F-35s someone asked? Yeah that makes perfect sence.

on the other hand career of Mi-24s and W-3As will terminate around 2018 and both will by replaced by new multirole light helicopter with attack and SAR/CSAR capabilities

don't mind Quadbike, he has some kind of paranoia on Bulgaria invading every body. been going off about it for some time now.
but we can't blame him. Those Bulgarians are beast! they make Chuck Norris blush.
