Struggled with various light today and threat of showers (which stayed away), the actual 9 ship formation was in very low light where I was........

My Dad saw that 9 ship today (he was Birdwatching at Rutland Water).
What were they doing in a diamond formation?

thay are top pics them what lens is it... last time i seen anything like this was up at Raf leuchars air show when the Tornado F3 displayed cool:)

Thanks for everyones kind comments, for those that wanted to know what gear was used, all the images were taken with Nikons 300mm f4 AF-S Prime lens, iso was set at 100, shutter varied between 640-1250, aperture f4 to f8 approx, exif data is preseved, all shot RAW, processed with Nikon capture nx & photoshop cs2
