Air Dolomiti: Universally European

Europe’s commercial aviation scene has changed dramatically in the three decades that Air Dolomiti has been operating. Today, supported by a growing fleet of modern Embraer E-Jets and with increasingly close ties to parent Lufthansa, the Italian carrier is perhaps better equipped than ever to protect its niche. Almost 30 years after its first flight linking the northern Italian cities of Trieste and Genoa, Air Dolomiti is evolving from a small regional operator into a truly European carrier. The main catalyst for this ‘second life’ is the arrival of up to 12 Embraer 195s and 190s and an unprecedented broadening of its operations - its winter 2019/20 schedule features services to eight destinations in Italy and a further 15 across the continent.
