Finland may not be the first part of the world one thinks of when it comes to linking West and East, but Finnair has been doing just that for decades. The location of the capital, Helsinki, along with the airport that serves it, puts it in just the right place to connect much of Europe with the Far East – and today, a significant portion of the airline’s business comes from this market. Finnair’s extensive network connects 19 cities in Asia and eight in North America with more than 100 destinations in Europe.
