Captain Sir Geoffrey de Havilland is looked upon as one of the most influential aircraft engineers of all time. His achievements in design included the Mosquito twin-engined multirole combat aircraft of World War Two and the DH. 88 Comet, which was specifically designed for the 1934 England-Australia Air Race.
