UK Discovery Tour, Part 2

Leg 2 – Shoreham to Barton

Picking up where we left off in our previous issue, the second leg of our United Kingdom discovery tour will commence from Shoreham (EGKA) on England’s south coast and zig-zag up the home counties, through the capital of London, to the River Humber in the northeast before cutting back across the Peak District to the city of Manchester. Covering a total distance of 485nm will take us four and a quarter hours cruising low and slow at 110 knots, with our sightseeing aircraft of choice being the Cessna 152. We recommend setting a custom weather theme for the most atmospheric results, with a scattered cloud layer around 5,000ft, ‘aerosol’ level set to 3 and light surface winds allowing you to land in any direction at the airports en route.
