USCG receives 25th upgraded MH-65E Dolphin

The US Coast Guard (USCG) has received its 25th upgraded Aérospatiale (now Airbus Helicopters) MH-65E Dolphin search and rescue (SAR) helicopter, after the latest example was delivered to Coast Guard Air Station (CGAS) Miami, Florida, on July 12.

The aircraft – CGNR 6596 – is the latest example to be redelivered to the USCG after being converted from MH-65D to MH-65E standard under the short-range recovery helicopter programme. As noted, 25 examples have completed the conversion process and have been handed back to the USCG, with four facilities having already transitioned to the upgraded variant.
