Yeager Airport announces new public affairs specialist

Rachel Urbanski has been appointed to the position where she is set to handle media related enquiries

Yeager Airport, West Virginia, recently announced their new public affairs specialist, Rachel Urbanski, who will be responsible for handling day-to-day media and public relations.

After she graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, she spent nearly a decade working in media as a reporter and TV Anchor, earning several awards for her work.

Urbanski will serve as the point of contact for all media related inquiries. Additionally, she is set to assist with implementing the airport’s marketing plan, advertising, and communication strategy.

Nick Keller, Yeager Airport director and CEO, said: “We’re incredibly excited to welcome Rachel to CRW during such an exciting time for both the airport and our region. Her experience will elevate our public outreach efforts to the next level as we plan for the future of Yeager Airport.”

The regional airport is responsible for nearly 3,000 jobs and has a $225m economic impact in the state of West Virginia. Yeager Airport is the largest commercial hub in the state, with services provided by American, Delta, Spirit, and United Airlines.

The Airport’s organisational vision is: ‘To become the most important economic engine for the state through advances in aviation and education.’

In conjunction with the West Virginia National Guard, the airport hosts the Home Base Programme. The initiative works to facilitate military ground, tactical, and air training in the region.
