The US Air Force (USAF) has decided to replace “a portion” of its E-3 Sentry Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) fleet with the Boeing E-7 Wedgetail airborne early warning and control (AEW&C) aircraft, with a contract award planned in fiscal year 2023 (FY23).
