Ben,
That one (FX322) is believed to be ex French Air Force (and RAF of course); not ex Sandhurst.

-Did there used to be a runway at Sandhurst? I've seen a few Helicopters taking off from the grounds but obviously no need for a runway as such.

-Sandhurst
The Harvards were located in a yard, not, to my knowledge the military Sandhurst site.
What happened to the one which was at the Booker Air Museum all those years ago?

-Am pretty sure that the Booker one became Gordon Kings and was then displayed at Harrington, went to Earls Colne and is now at Newark....
But Benno will confirm, won't you mate! :)

-Newark Harvard
I believe the complete airframe at Newark was originally found along with a few others in a Dutch scrapyard in the 80s and was imported along with another (?) by the Harvard Formation Team as spares.

-The yard was as has been said not RAF Sandhurst and nothing to do with the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst which is 1/2 mile down the road, it was a small business dealing in aircraft spare.
The yard was in Florence Road opposite Dalley Court, now a car park.
I visited it in about 1970-72 and there was at least 1 Harvard still there then along with Vampires and Venom pods/parts.

-Booker Harvard
I believe the former Booker Harvard is ex KF435. Apparently near Swindon, does anyone know of her location and ownership?

-Interesting the mention of this yard as i remember it well in the late 60s and early 70s, passing along Yorktwn Rd the rear of the old petrol station was surrounded by corrogated iron fencing and i thin topped with barbed wire?. There was always visible remnants of fuselages with usually dayglo orange making it all very conspicious.
The road alongside was indeed and still is Florence Rd and i recall then it was no more than an unmade track. The site was rented by Staravia and i think they came from Ascot.
Later on long after the site was re developed turned into a purpose car garage with showroom and later on bought by the Dolphin Head Group.
However [not far from here as the crow flies] and at ngr SU 805 629 which was an old chicken farm along the Lower Sandhurst Rd at Finchampstead Aircraft fuselages etc appeared again very visible from adjacent lane due to dayglo and alloy skins at the rear of the farm, this site was shared with variuos car repair businesses and during an early evening caught fire circa 1988 all soon disappeard[and was built on with a modern development of housesQUOTE=Mark12;1920562]Here is a shot I took 8.

Does anyone know how many of the old Sandhurst yard Harvards were recovered and whether any may be available?
Thanks
