I am project managing the recreation of an Airspeed oxford (MKV EB518) from components recovered from Canada in the 1990's by the Midlands recovery Group. The project has been named as the Saving Amy CIC and is being rebuilt at Blackpool Airport Hangar 42 (Spitfire Visitors centre) . We are completing the restoration of the cockpit section first which is nearly complete. Amy Johnson flew in an Airspeed oxford from Blackpool Airport the day she went missing and the remains of her aircraft were found in the thames estuary off Herne Bay. Amy visited blackpool often and her sister Molly lived in blackpool. Amy's parents later retired to the area . We are looking for any stories or artefacts related to Amy which we would like to exhibit with the restored aircraft can you help ?

Writing from within walking distance of her intended destination that day, and a former resident of Herne Bay, I was unaware that remains of her aircraft had been found. Do please tell!
