I'm not an expert on Oil Coolers. But the Stores Ref "cell", on the plate, has a/the Drawing No in it (at issue 3).
I would have expected to see the Sect Ref or OEM Part No for the item in there.

The number with an E prefix is a drawing number issued by the Australians.

Just found the full reference in the Australian Beaufighter BD43A Parts Manual.

Refers to Beaufighter oil system assembly drawing 244257.

We have one oil cooler installed which we found in Australia, now looking for one for the stbd. side. It would appear they came in two sizes, we require the larger, approx. 12.5" diameter. Type BD43A, Stores Ref. E192231A
