I am planning a visit to Washington DC in October. I cant find out much about what is currently on view due to the ongoing renovations. Can anyone you has visited recently tell me if the WW1 aircraft are able to be seen. I particularly want to see the Snipe.

Hi Robert - the downtown museum is about half open; worth going to, but little in the way of military aircraft. There are a dozen or so WWI aircraft at the Udvar Hazy Center out near the Dulles Airport (about 25 miles west of DC); unfortunately I believe the Snipe is in storage since I have not seen it lately.
