With the recent release by Roman Design of CYYJ Victoria International Airport, four major destinations of the Pacific Northwest are now available for Microsoft Flight Simulator (MSFS) in glorious detail. It’s great to have consistency in the region. Depart or arrive at any of these four and you get a detailed recreation of the actual airport. The best two are Seattle-Tacoma (KSEA) and Victoria International (CYYJ) but all four are well worth the purchase and this tour will give you a sense of what you can expect.
It’s true that these airports cluster together and are ideal for the General Aviation (GA) crowd. So, whether you are in your twin Baron, a Cessna G1000 or a regional aircraft like the ATR-72, all four airports will occupy your flight plan for exploring the region. Due to their proximity, you can depart at one and arrive at any of the other three without spending hours in the air. But I’m also fond of flying the Airbus A320 between the two Canadian airports and the two American ones. It’s a beautiful route and one I have experienced many times in real life.
