Challenging Airports - Ísafjörður Iceland (BIIS)

As I’ve mentioned before in this space, half the fun of writing these articles is being whisked (virtually) all around the world to places selected from suggestions by friends and fans of the series and exploring their favourite challenging locations. We’ve been running this feature for more than six years now and there seems to be no end to the interesting and quirky places that people will try to shoehorn aircraft into! This issue we visit another extreme destination on the northwestern tip of Iceland – the scenic and challenging airport of Ísafjörður.
