Air show photography is challenging, as filling the frame with a distant aircraft requires a powerful lens, which in turn needs a steady hand and decent light.Shooting aircraft at 100mph or faster is also tricky, especially when you can’t just knock the shutter speed up to 1/500sec, as you need to keep the props pleasingly blurred.
