The Focke-Wulf Fw 200 Condor may not have been the first, nor the most numerous aircraft to equip the Fliegerstaffel des Führers — the special unit formed to fly Hitler and the grandees of the Nazi regime — but it was undoubtedly the most prominent. As both the ideal machine to transport high-ranking Nazis and a symbol of the technological advancement of the Third Reich, the Fw 200 quickly became emblematic of the German high command.
