Flight Adventure: Tasmanian Odyssey

Apple Isle Adventure

Tasmania is as far south as you can go in Australia and is exposed to the sometimes wild weather that sweeps in from the west on the ‘Roaring 40s’ (strong westerly winds found in the Southern Hemisphere - generally between the latitudes of 40 and 50 degrees). This can cause low visibility and dangerous flying conditions, particularly on the west coast. Pick the right weather however, and the clear air will give you views that seem to stretch from one side of Tasmania to the other! Even the more marginal conditions will provide some stunning vistas, so take your time to fully explore what ‘Tassy’ has to offer.
