‘Daks’ to gather at Flabob
Flabob Airport in the Los Angeles basin of southern California is hostinga Douglas DC-3/C-47 fly-in from 19-21May. Eleven such aircraft are already committed, withmore expected. At Flabob, access to the flightlines will beprovided and all the aircraft will be open andaccessible. Many will give rides, andall will be encouraged to take to theair during the event. Seminars and presentations are due tobegiven by current Dakotapilots and maintainers, as well asmilitary and airline veterans. A beer garden will be open with food, music and the opportunity to mingle with aircrews and fellow Dakota aficionados.

Stallion 51 celebration
Stallion 51, the Kissimmee, Florida-based P-51Mustang flight training operator, will mark its 30th anniversary at the Sun ’n Fun event at Lakeland from 4-9 April. The company is planning a ‘homecoming’ for its nearly 180Mustang check-out programme graduates and, if possible, their aircraft.
