The long-awaited award of a winner for the US Air Force’s T-X trainer competition, planned to be announced before the end of the year, may be delayed if Congress passes another long-term continuing resolution (CR). As new start programmes are, unless specifically exempted, not permitted to have money spent on them under a CR, the US Air Force may not announce a T-X winner if it is unable to sign a contract.
